Josefa Pace possesses a Ph.D. in Literacy Studies. Through ethnographic research and discourse and narrative analysis, Josefa examines writing and digital rhetoric on culture, identity, and gender. Josefa received a BFA in Theatre and BA in English with a minor in Italian. She obtained her Masters in English/Creative Writing. She also completed coursework in Women’s History. She has been teaching on the college level in a full-time and part-time capacity at local colleges in New York for over ten years. She teaches a range of courses in writing studies and composition, literature, literacy, and interdisciplinary education classes.
During her undergraduate years, Josefa was a four-year starter on the women's soccer team. During that time, the team made three NCAA appearances, earning Northeast Regional titles and advancing to the NCAA Championships, finishing second in the nation. Josefa has been an assistant women’s soccer coach on the NCAA Division II college level for eight years. She continues to coach and work with developmental soccer programs.
